We have similar problems. My car runs hot also; hot enough on warm days to boil
the fuel from the fuel pump on forward. Enough pressure remains in the fuel
system because of this to flood the carbs after shutdown. The cure appears to be
an electric fuel pump. I have tried re-routing, insulating the fuel lines,
etc., to no avail.
