Carefull here, Very Very high performance tires include traction additives
that keep the rubber very soft and supple. This is great for the ultimate
in grip, but the chemicals that are added to the tires are very volitile,
and leave the tire quickly.
I think that the Yoko's have a 1 year life before the tires grip is severly
compromised. Mine are 3 years old, and I can feel the tires are quite a bit
harder than they were when new.
Since my tires still have more than 80% life remaining, this makes for a
very
poor investment for a street/track driven vehicle, unless you can burn the
tires to the ground before the tires give up their additives.
