The difference being, in a small-block Ford, all you need do is
change the firing order at the cap. All the internals are the same. In fact,
the 351 Windsor cam is a poor-man's hop-up for a 289 or 302.
I've switched an engine from cast-iron head to alloy, however it was
a 1725 to begin with. I used an Alpine cam (suitably reground for Commer van
use), head, and oil pump, so I didn't have any compatibility problems.
