Thanks for the replies on my heater drain trough.

Scott Christie says Rick McLeod has them, but my SS price list (1990)
only lists the "duckbill drain valve". This valve sits below the trough,
which is pictured in my price list, but there is no item number for it
(grrr). Scott, you have a newer catalog maybe? Can you give me Rick's
part number and the price please.

As Dave Green pointed out CAT also lists the "duckbill" drain valve, but
not the trough.

No-one has come up with a reason why I need this part on a S3, but S1 &
2 owners don't. I am tempted to go without, but I suspect there would be
a bit of condensation created in there even if no rain water leaked in.

BTW, this is a case of shipwrights. I wanted to properly fit a radio
that the DPO had 'rigged' under the dash. I didn't want to fit the radio
in the way of a (future) heater-blower, so I locate a heater blower, now
I need the associated parts for it. Where will it end... (Hmmm, could
remove the radio altogether - problem gone)

Another BTW - We had a water leak from the footwell heater outlet on our
daily car (GM-Holden). It turns out the "duckbill drain valve" was
blocked with leaves etc and the drain pipe was overflowing into the
heater duct. Moral: clean your duckbill regularly!

Cheers,
Paul.
