When my brakes are not clamped shut in a death grip, I am able to drive
around. based on these drives I think I have some stuff to look at.
I think I may need some front end work. When I hit a bump it's like
everything in the front suspension becomes disconnected for second and
turning the steering wheel has very little effect. Not having driven an
Alpine before, is this normal?
Also, I have a pronounced whine coming from the gearbox in third gear when I
am under constant speed. Is this a sign of impending doom or can I drive
this way for the summer? I have 4 other gear boxes laying around but my car
is an OD model. I am thinking that the OD gearbox is different. Is this
true?
Thanks in advance,
Kurt
