Hello Alpiners
I have a brake question. After rebuilding the master cylinder, front
calipers, and rear wheel cylinders and replacing the pads and shoes, the
brakes are still not quite right. The car stops but pedal effort is high
and after a long drive yesterday the pedal seemed to push back at me
when I applied the brakes. Would this be a problem with the dreaded
servo unit or maybe there is still air in the system? Also this maybe a
dumb question but should you have the car running so the servo has
vacuum when you bleed the brakes? Thanks jim SV
