No charge

Help it's getting dark here in CA and the prince of darkness is out to
get me. I have a SII that has been converted to negative ground. The
car is not charging. The battery is fine, even though it is not
charged. I have checked and cleand all the connections at the generator
and voltage regulator. I have a digital multimeter and I am not afraid
to use it. The car dose't have an ampmeter.
So I could use some help trouble shooting this problem.
