I should tell you that here in So. Cal down near Laguna Niguel / Mission
Viejo, the freeways get to be 6? lanes I think and people drive pretty fast,
70-80 MPH. When I was living in Laguna Hlls, I used to drive my SV Alpine
back and forth to my dad's house (35 mile trip) and almost always in the
right hand lane and at a nervous 4500-5000 RPM. My car has the 3.89 rear end
but smaller than stock tires which causes the revs to increase slighty more
than stock but the car responds very well to any throttle at those revs.
It's a little "edge of your seat" driving at those speeds but it's also a
lot of fun `:-)
PS...my car is very stock, no balancing; but when the new motor goes in, I'm
planning to have it done.
