Erik,

Problem is the Roadster Crankshaft has a flange on the rear,
so you would have to use a two piece rear main seal.

On the later Datsun's (510 & 240Z) there is no flange on
the rear, so the one piece rear main seal just slips over the
end of the crank.

Personally I like running the Castrol Blend 20W50. 

Of course after looking at how much the Toyota Land Cruiser
leaks out the rear main seal (Look, Ma... no rust under here!)
I don't worry about the spots from the roadster. ;-)
