Well,

Are you restoring the car to resell or to gain personal enjoyment?  Both?  I 
would say do what ever you want to the car.  I would rather lose $5k or so in 
value rather than driving a car that I wasnt totally satisfied with.  That 
would go for any Roadster.  

I got some interesting plans for mine this year.  No flares but it isnt going 
to be stock.
