Jon:

Take a medium width flat screwdriver, and slowly work your way around the
inside of the windshield starting at the top center. You want to take the
interior OD "layer" of rubber and push it back under the windshield frame. Do a
little at a time, it will become easier as you go, except for the two upper
corners, do them last. Once the upper (sun visor) area is done, do each side
down to the dash, then the top corners. Use soap, WD-40, lube of choice to
help.
After doing a short section, maybe 3-4 inches, go back with your fingers and
try to gently push the rubber further under the windshield frame.
When you get the top and sides done, then you can carefully push in the
center-top of the windshield to remove it. You may need to rock it slowly, and
try to lift at the same time.
This method has worked about 25 times, with no broken windshields (back when
they were cheap).
Good luck.
