What was that, I heard my name....

Status of axle project:

On frustrated hold.

On two occasions (last summer and early this fall), I was ready to write
the PO to Sway-a-way. On each occasion, another suggestion for improving
the product was posted. Then the interest diverged.

I do not know the suppliers current position/backlog/etc. but will contact
them if we can make the 12 piece minimum.

So for the third time....

How many of you want to have the tapered axles run?

For my part, I have petitioned SCCA to allow "any available solid axle" for
my class. Currently, the rules allow unlimited modification as long as the
stock differential housing is retained. If they allow this, I will install
a Ford 9" or someting similiar. The aftermarket is awash with go fast
goodies for these common ranges of axles. The competitive pricing and
durability are the appeal. I realize this is not an option for the majority
of FOT.

Bill, the beautiful billet hubs the J. Snook ran are all sold (please
correct me if I'm wrong). I guess the current alternative is a full prep
of existing used hubs. I may have a couple cores on the shelf if you need
them.

Regards, All

There is still some interest in the axle project, but I'll let others
jump in on that.
