Scott,
Many thanks for your generous offer of the water pump pulley. This
mornintg I went begging around here some more and came up with one. When I
pulled my old pulley off, I found the cause for all the noise and rattling.
The pulley rides very close to the housing and apparently some wear in the
bearings permitted the pulley to chafe against the housing. Of course this
was after I had taken the radiator out, removed the vibration dampener et
al. What I need now is a large diameter 3/8" generator pulley. I'm now only
a little bit further behind than I was when I started this morning.
Again, thanks for your offer. Your generousity was very thoughtful.
