There is yet another solution to the problem of appearance and
originality.

Any brand new car engine compartment you look at nowadays has plastic
covers over everything to look really jazzy -- my BMW included.

Why not install any darned engine you please, and have a blow-molded
plastic cover made that looks like a Triumph engine?

Of course, you'd have to invent an automatic oil leaking device.........
