My most serious accidents have happened on the street. I so far have been =
lucky=2C really lucky=2C and am still around. I know people who bought th=
e farm on the way to vintage races. Last week I went to a restaurant in Ju=
arez=2C Mexico the site of 800 plus murders so far this year=2C not the res=
taurant=2C but the city. I ate the Tripitas and Sirloin Tacos=2C and likew=
ise am still kicking. Not the point. The owner of the restaurant was a ra=
cer and member of the Juarez sports hall of fame. The restaurant was plast=
ered with photos of his circle track career and one photo that struck me wa=
s of him and his buddies standing around after a race in 1954 and their saf=
ety equipment were leather football helmets. He was in the restaurant and =
still had his dashing moustache he had from '54 and a twinkle in his eye at=
81 years old. I did my best to converse with him in my broken spanish and=
I could only imagine the racing adventures he had survived. I don't wanna=
 die in bed=2C in a crash=2C or eating Tripitas. But if I do=2C I'd rather=
go out gritting my teeth=2C foot to the floor=2C and relishing every bite.=
