Yes the fly wheel offset is different from the earlier to later cars, I don't 
know when the change happened but one flywheel is basically flat and the other 
is dished in the middle.  Going off of memory I'd say the offset is a half inch 
maybe a little more.

 anyone tell me what the difference is in the flywheels of a
 TR250 and early TR6 (69) vs. the later TR6s?  I know the
 crankshaft rear ends were different lengths but are the
 flywheel offsets different also?   I'm trying to figure
 out what I have.
