At least you can go a legal 75 in Nebraska, and a reasonable 79 in Wyoming. 
The State troopers were having a field day in Nebraska on anything over
about 76 when I came through in late May...watch the blind on ramps in the
middle of the state.  Once you get past the slow down for construction down
the canyon from the Wyoming line to SLC and are on the I-215 belt route
detour from the mouth of the canyon ... take the exit to westbound 2100
South.   Go by the Kennecott smelters and once back on I-80 you have a
reasonable 79 for the rest of the drive from the Great Salt Lake to the
salt...90 miles. Have a safe and ticket free trip.
