Note that there is a difference in the definitions of "roll bar" and "roll
cage" in the rule book.
"Roll bars" (figure 1) must be 1-3/4 dia. .120 wall. If you run classes
G,H,I,J & K and the existing record is under 175 mph you can use 1-1/2 dia
.095 wall. Figure 1 shows a typical coupe and sedan installation.
"Roll cages" (figure 2) must be 1-5/8 dia .120 wall. If you run classes
G,H,I,J & K and the existing record is under 175 mph you can use 1-1/2 dia
.095 wall. Figure 2 shows a typical lakester/roadster installation.
