I encountered this same problem with a racing
cycle a few years ago.  If athe timing is on,
then my guess is it's a little too lean. The hand
over the carb supports that too.  Make sure the
carb doesn't have any dirt in and the jets are
flowing what they were meant to flow.  If it's
clean, possible try some bigger mains.
