Sitting here making Tuning decisions for next weekend... and I was tempted
not to change a thing... BUT... I went over Last Night and Got the 3:07
Gears from Brad's Place anyway....
Little Math on a Slow day.... Our goal is to put Will Handzel in the Two
Club... To Figure for RPM at the Traps ...you take 200mph X 3.25 gear X 336
and divide it by the tire size of 25.5 ... should come up with 8564 rpm.....
hmmm little high for our combination of Junk
Okay lets figure for that.... 200 mph X 3.07 X 336 divided by 25.5 = 8090
rpm ... ahh now that is Just past Peak Hp which was at 7900
Tune up.... Demon Carb with 82 jets and 200hp nitrous shot 10 degree of
retard.... with the timing set at 40... Should run the number off the
Trailer if it don't I got more Jets that say it will.... Just don't want to
get into those triple diget Nitrous packs that are marked " RODECK ONLY"
One thing to keep in mind these Dart 230 Heads seem to work better in the
Upper Rpm Range... it's a Big Change to the Motor and we don't have a
current Dyno Pass on it with the change...Plan on doing one once we get
home.
