Hey y'all -

A couple thoughts on Motorcycle classes @ ECTA & SCTA "bashing".

1st - I'm tickled to death to have an LSR venue that is east of the Missippi
river.
2nd - I'm thankful that motorcycles ( and our hoodlum audiences ) have been
welcomed with open arms to the ECTA.
3rd - I will be making my first trip to Bonneville this year, and I look
forward to meeting the folks that go with the names on this list, and
finding them to be as decent, generous and fun as are the ECTA folks I've
met.

Lastly - we're ALL in this for the glory and thrill of going as fast as we
can, as safely as we can, and to have our individual accomplishments
recognized and validated by a group of our peers.

It's fun for me to see how fast we can make a 2-cylinder tractor engine move
a motorcycle down the track, using 50 year old technology. It's also fun to
be able to compete against records set by OTHER tractor-engined motorcycles.
It's also fun to watch Scott Guthrie go 200+ on his Hayabusa, and knowing
that I can't be competitive with that technology, be glad that I'm in a
different class. It's also fun to watch the OFOS guys stretch out on
whatever you call that contraption that they race. It's also fun to watch
Wild Willie grenade his Flathead Ford. It's also fun to watch Keith sweat
while watching others race his Camaro. :-)

Are y'all starting to recognize a pattern? I thought so.

Take care,

Ray Kimbro
