One thing us production guys have to worry about is the stock door panels In
some
cases, like my Corvette, the door handle is recessed into the panel, making it
very difficult to reach wearing "oven-mitt" gloves. Add the arm restraints, and
opening the door in a hurry can be a challenge (the only way I could get to the
latch was to use my right hand......) So, in true hot rod tradition, I
fabricated
a high tech, 1" wide nylon strap that I grab instead of the teeny recessed
handle. Mayf, I don't know exactly what your handle looks like but teabagger
door handles typically are pretty small........ Try playing with it using your
driving gloves & if it is hard to handle (no pun intended) you may want to make
it bigger in order to grab easier.
Ed (yes, I have had to bail out a couple of times.....seconds count)
