Good question Tommy. The only car I can think of that you could chop and NOT 
change the CONTOUR is a 1926-27 Ford T coupe. The 26-27 is square, almost all 
others need a piece added to the top to stretch the top when you mate it with 
the bottom. This would change the contour as I see it. Bob in connecticut
