Doug; As I remember in the late '70s Vintage engines were required to run in
Vintage (pre '48) bodies. In '79 either Elmo or Latten were President of
SCTA and they had a German Capri with an Ardun in it. So XX/Alt class became
open to all bodies. At that time I took the GMC from my '32 coupe and put it
in the Vega. Any other classes that did not allow X or XX motors must just
not have had the interest at the time.  Rich Fox
