I had this same problem with my video camera..........Sound was fine but picture
was so distorted it was worthless - Since video "noise" (distortion) can be
caused by overloading the camera's microphone, I taped foam over the mic to
muffle the sound and the picture is clear is a bell, and enough engine sound
gets
through to hear it on the tape.
