Nah, hasn't happened yet... 2 weeks ago the builder said to give our
landlord his 30 days notice because we would be able to move in in a week.
Well..... since then several things have gone belly up! He looked at our
black granite kitchen counter tops and found that they were not milled flat:
those puppies had a quater inch deep area in them where water would puddle
up. So he called the counter folk and they replaced them. Then the
electrician tried the new fangled tankless water heaters I speicifed.
Supposed to use 1/3 the total power of a conventional water heater. Well, to
power the house and the workshop, I had a special 400 amp service put in:
200 for the house, 200 for the shop. The electrician wired the water heater
circuits wrong and used the wrong gage wire. Not enugh power in the house
now to run everything all at once and the heater wires started to get hot
when the heaters were powered on. So we decide to split the power up and
have another service meter installed just for the shop. So now I am up to
600 amp service total and 2 meters. The builder tried to get a jump on
revamping the power for the house and shop so he had the panel in the shop
replaced with a new one with a meter. Cut the stucco to install the meter
where it was outside. Then the Power Company shows up and after a lot of
discussion I now have a NEW PLAN. Instead of the new breaker and meter panel
in the workshop, I get a new pedistal mount like is used in an RV hookup
outside near the water well. Well, ...ok...but now I have another power
company service charge. It now costs me 45 bucks a month just for the
privilage of having power at my house, even if I do not use a single watt!
The it turns out that all even though the house is now wired correctly to
power the heaters (had to add a separate panel so we had the side of the
house cut out for that like the workshop) we still cannot move in. Turns out
that the water well is on the shop circuit so no water to the main house!
Holy shit, Batman, this is getting hilarious!. Then as I was looking over
the kitchen area, I decide to pull out the cutting board. Jesus! The damned
counter top is put on crooked! It has to be removed and re cut on one
end....will this ever end? I have moved most of everything from the current
garage to the new workshop to get a jump on moving but ain't there yet.
Anybody have a rubber chicken? I need one bad....also donations to pay my
power bill......

mayf, the disgusted red necked ignorant desert rat in Pahrump (will someone
tellme why I am here? oh, I remember now...)
