Howard;

If you paint your concrete floor a light color it will make your shop
brighter. It also makes it much easier to spot the sockets & small bolts
that get dropped on the ground and roll away. :)

Look at a Sherwin-Williams industrial polyurethane floor coatings brochure.
They have some good color selections; I chose a bright yellow for my floor
and I really like it.

The color of your shop floor makes a big difference in the overall lighting
effect.

That hoist sure sounds great.

Skip,
One of the best things I did was install an 8000# floor hoist in the shop. I
found it used for $800. with all the controls. It allows me to service my
street vehicles. Change oil, rotate tires, etc without breaking my already
bad back or crawling around on the ground.
Too bad I can't use it on the liner.
My one wall is a dull white, the other wall is semi gloss white and the
floor is natural concrete. I never seem to have enough light either even
though I am using the 40 watt bulbs. I have good lights over my benches and
tools and use portable lights when I need them.
