Howard,
I heard about situations like yours and so the new shop will be 30 X 50
(1500) and the house is 1616 + 200 for the office....so I'm safe.....I
hope. Besides she did ask if it was big enough since it is 100 sq ft
smaller than the present one....(-: (-:
On lighting, the other day, I noticed that the "shop" flouresent lights
($1.99/pair) are 25 watts per bulb........looked around Home Depot and
found 40 watt bulbs.....now I don't pay a lot of attention to some stuff
(I'm told).....but this is a breakthrough for me! I changed about half the
bulbs in the shop and can't believe the difference in light level.
I will put 40 watt'ers in the new shop and paint the floor white....walls
will have white backed insulation so that should be OK. Since I'm just
building.....any other things I should plan on doing or avoiding? Bathroom
with sink and urinal are planned.
Oh, one of the things I'm making for the shop is a gantry crane ...pretty
simple (read cheap at $250) really and I think that it will be very handy.
If anyone is interested, I can email sketches. How about a design review?
Ideas?
Skip (final plans are done for the Pahrump Project and we close on the lot
is a week or so).
