    Back in the early 70's when we had the first energy problem. Race gas was
hard to get for our NASCAR Winston West series races. UNOCAL told us that the
best way to make our own gas was to take a 55 gal barrel. Go down to the air
port and get 25 gals. of 110 av. Then go to the gas station and get 25 gals of
leaded 91 octane. Then go to the paint store and get 3 gals. of toluene. Mix it
up good and you had the same basic thing as UNOCAL race gas. Now that was 30
years ago so some things have changed but it worked for us then.   Doug Odom in
