For those still interested in this topic:
Chevy has two short deck small blocks. The #24502650 at 8.300" (can be
machined to 8.200") and uses the Olds Aurora V8 bellhousing.
Also the #12480050 @ 8.700" which can be machined to 8.500" with standard
bellhousing.
So all you descriminating racers can now build the perfect Small Block "F"
motor...
