Tom;

I'd use those blue anodized aluminum fittings; you can get them from Earl's.
My experience with Russell has been disappointing-- their Quality Control
people must take lots of coffee breaks. I usually use Loctite Hydraulic
Sealant on pipe threads for vibration locking and leak sealing.

Stainless steel/aluminum will gall and sieze unless a good anti-sieze is
used on the threads but the safest thing is to avoid that combination
altogether.

List,
  I'm doing some plumbing on the motorcycle and was wondering what is the
best type (material) of fittings to use to avoid galling. I hope that made
sense. The motorcycle case is aluminum, threaded with 3/8 NPT. Should I
use aluminum fittings, brass, steel or stainless? What is the best thread
sealant? Should I use anti-seize instead of sealant? Just looking for your
thoughts and experiences.

Regards, Tom
