One would think that the FIA could bring a good differential GPS receiver as
well as the stopwatch!

Our clocks are certified each year at a Standards lab prior to the event. We
have three complete sets. A copy of the certification is given to the FIA
Rep. We also have an outside source survey the course length. All
measurements are double checked and as above a copy of the survey
certificate is given to the FIA Rep. Beyond a stop watch they bring to keep
track of the one hour turn around time they furnish only their forms to copy
our data from. We do the rest. Glen
