Tom, great article.. thanks for sharing it.
The second pic is appearantly(from the late 70's pickup in the background) a 
re-creation and entry at an exhibit show and(if any of it is still the same 
bike) has changed dramatically from that original pic. Does anyone know if 
there is any truth to(or records of) them actually doing 180mph on this 
thing? I see no way 125hp on a 1500lb open bike having a chance of seeing 
that speed(i was pretty impressed with the 140mph speed stated actually), and 
can't believe they thought they had a chance at 300mph. Talk about 
expectations!
