Keith... Thank you for the suggestion. I would like to take you up on
the offer of measurements. A 26.5 x 18" wheel should work perfectly. Are
the Mickey Thompson's a lower aspect ratio than the Goodyear? Unless
I'm really screwed up the Goodyear LSR Front Runners must have a much
deeper side wall than the MTs?

As for the second part of your reply -- I have been "hooked" on LSR
racing since I was 14 and my father took me to the flats for the first
time...back in the days of the State Line and Jim's Casino. He and his
best friend had campaigned a Austen Heally with a small block Chevy
during the early 60's...I think it is still the fastest [recognized] car
to drive to the salt under it's own power, record, and return. This
introduction led me to crew for our friends for the
next...30...Hmmm...too many years. During this time, they ran a 69
Camaro (C/B Alt) and most recently a C/B FL. Much has changed over the
years...my father passed away...his ashes rest at the 7 mile mark...I've
grown up, married and had a son who is now becoming interested in cars
and all that goes fast. I guess I just decided to get off my but and do
something about passing on the knowledge and fun I have come to know
and...Oh, and did I mention it makes a dam good excuse for the new/old
man to have some fun too?

Lastly, I'm a CA transplant to the Motor City -- just North of Detroit.
I hope this dissertation didn't bore you.

John
