The hood on my roadster is 62" long made from .060" 5052. It overlaps
the hood side panels 1-1/2".

The side panels have a 1/2" 90 degree break with an additional 1/2" 45
degree break on top which makes it very stiff and easy to attach the
top.. I use 5 dzus fasteners on each side. Works for me..J.D.

A small right- angle or "Z" shaped stiffener can help keep the panel
flat without resorting to an excessive number of fasteners.
