I hate to burst the bubble, but none of those aforementioned departments of 
Jaguar, i.e., design, electronics, etc, are independent any more. It is indeed 
a Ford.

Malcolm.... A Jaguar is just that... who owns it only aids in establishing 
design parameters ... I don't think of it as a Ford... it's a Jag...

BUT when it comes to design stuff, especially Electronic's which the Jag 
folks are very into.... I'd perfer they listen to the design intents of Ford 
.... as Ford has a better electronic history...  Basically they understand 
that Electricity has to flow back to the source and not through a painted 
bit of metal ground....  a classic Lucas problem.
