Dave;
Don't know what kind of dielectric would be needed for 80k volts, but they
must be much higher than 30k volts if the magnetos are pumping out 45 amps.
Even if there are substantial losses along the way, the instantaneous peak
power pulse at the spark plug is still a big number.
