Hi Jack,

yes and no, the whole FIM classification was modified some years ago.

Correct is that some old "streamliner" record are frozen - in the 50 cc and
some other classes - not the Dave Campos record - but this classes are still
exist (!) ..... the configuration and rules changed so much that it was
necessary to freeze the old records, due to this that there was no fair chance
to compare the old records to the "new" certified records. The most classes
are still open - to the last update of the FIM list. How they will accept the
new record are not clear - the FIM list and category explanation are very
confusing - I'm not sure if the official of the FIM understood there own
writings - anyway - there is no minimum for this open records shown so as the
SCTA/BNI do. Also it is hard to find this classes, the new category list is
more than 40 sheets.......may be the lost some.....smile.

When I wrote my comment about the NT IV, I forgot to write that the NT IV
never tried to run for FIM under the new regulation....due this that the old
records are frozen he never could run against the old regulation. For me it
was automatically in my mind that I meant the new rights.

Was this the answer you request - Please explain what I just said. Jack - I
hope it clear enough.

See ya
