Tubby runs a  Flathead Ford V-8. It is a true 1948 which allows it to run in 
Vintage classes. 

This not ture of the 47/48 Crosleys which run with the modern vehicles. 

The 49 and newer Hudsons of both styles have held records in the past but first 
Studebakers then Monza, amd Camaro/Firebirds have surpassed their 
accomplisments. Currently a Chevrolet 6 in a 50's stlye fast back hold the 
record in production.

If I'm not mistaken a rear engine modified roadster with Hudson power is 
entered for 2006
