Mayf, I wonder what I'm doing wrong -- or everyone but me is doing wrong. . .
In all of the years I've towed a trailer hither and yon across the country --
I've had one tire failure. And that one was when a tubeless tire (that came
to us on already on the trailer) wasn't tubeless after all but instead had
been tubed instead of properly repaired. Eventually the stem broke off and
the tire went flat.

The trailer we now use has been going racing to Maxton and Bville for more
than three years -- about 20,000 or so miles total. There are no big signs of
wear, but also no other problems. The trailer scales at about 6,000# loaded,
and has electric brakes. I carefully check tire pressures at least once a
year and the bearings regularly every once in a while.

About the only thing I do that might be unusual - is not drive very fast. On
the interstate highways sometimes Nancy will wind it up to darn near 66 mph --
I tend to stay a few mph below that. The tires are trailer tires, by the way,
although they are a L "E". They're outside right now, and it's about bedtime,
so I won't go look to see the brand -- but these aren't the same ones that
I've had on previous trailers -- with no issues on any of 'em.

Caveat Emptor - but it works for me.

Well, since the day I acquired my trailer, it has had Maxxis tires on
it. Every year to and fro the salt I have had to replace at least one
tire due to tread separation and the shoulder of the tire. last time up
it was two tires. I am unhappy with Maxxis. I am unhappy with trailer
tires period. I am looking for the wisdom of the list to help me find
something better. I have 225 75R15 Load Range D tires on the trailer
now. I want to move up to a load range E tire and one that is used on
light trucks (ok, pickups, lol). I want a speed rated tire as well as
the LR E capability. I have been known to tow a few mph over teh trailer
