About dripping carbs. I always had trouble with the needles getting
stuck and not traveling up and down properly. I did discover that when
the float dropped very low the float lever let the needle drop too low
and then it would stick open. Over the years of adjusting the lever, it
basically became too flat. Hold the the lid of the float chamber up and
let the float dangle then observe the needle to see if it stays
straight as you move the float up and down. It solved my similiar
problem on both my A and TD.
