I'm sorry to hear that some of you have SO's that do not share the joys of
LBC ownership. My wife drove our '73 yesterday for only the second time.
Said she didn't much care for the way the brakes worked. BUYING OPPORTUNITY!
So I'm wondering what kind of mods/improvements others on the list have
found to be worthwhile/cost effective (I don't have a blank check, here). I
don't have anything to compare the performance of our brakes with. They
appear to be stock, no leaks apparent, no pulling to either side, rear shoes
are fairly wear-free. I'll be checking out the front pads this weekend, as
well as checking the metal tubing for kinks. For sure I will be replacing
the rubber hoses with stainless braided. Any one have any recommendations on
brake pads/shoes, cross-drilled rotors, etc., or if the system is in good
mechanical shape should stock be "good enough" (a relative term, here. I
don't race, but how can you be too safe?) I have also read a reference to
"balancing" the front brakes with the rear by installing the GT rear
cylinders when upgrading the front brakes. Opinions/experiences, anyone?

Always appreciative,
Dennis
