Any ideas, everybody. I took a look at the plugs in my '78 B and the two
plugs from the 1 and 4 cylinders have a black soot on them, indicating
they are running rich(right?). The plugs from two and three cylinders
are a nice tan color, indicating that they're fine(mixture just right).
I can't figure out why this would be. The two cylinders that are running
rich are on separate branches of my carb manifold, so i wouldn't imagine
there is any clogging.
Could this have something to do with my ignition again. I wrote to the
list a few months back, when I was having problems with backfiring. Well
that problem was narrowed down to bad points. They were replaced and now
all is fine. Everything, that is except, for poor gas mileage. I
decided to check the plugs for indications of mixture. That's when I
noticed the problem.
Any hints anybody as to where to start.
