Dear Glen and others replacing the circlip on rear brake cylinders.
I agree it is a bitch to get them on until you find the secret (at least
it works for me- I make no guarantees for anyone else). I put the clip on
as far as I can by sliding in over the cylinder. I then take a big flat
screw driver and pry the clip into the groove on the cylinder. I pissed
around with pliers etc for a long time (about 30 mins) until I hit on this
method. It took me about a minute to get the ring into place after I
figured it out!
