Been there, done that with floor pans. Oxy-acetylene brazing works ok.
However it takes a little practice and constant care to keep from
distorting the metal. Personally, I like the MIG welder(wire-fed)
because it's easier to use in tight places(don't have both hands full)
and I can control the heat better. Just my humble opinion.
