Hello Bob. Yes there is a couple of ways. First you must come to a complete stop. Second is to install a fully synchro tranny from a MGB. Your transmission is non synchro and it telling you that every time you do not stop. Pretty soon all them metal chips going around in the oil of your tranny will be tell you.
