About twenty years ago I had a set of what were called "MG TD factory
competition wheels". They looked exactly like the usual wheel (the ones
with the holes, not the very early solid wheel) but the rims were
definitely 1" wider than stock. In all my years around MGs, these are the
only ones I've seen, however, so it must have been a pretty rare option.
