Actually, that reminds me of a recent trip through Louisiana in the A Coupe.
We were passed by a low rider truck (with the required 200 decibel sound
system thumping away) that slowed down to stare at the A, and then ask if
it was an old "Porch".  When I replied that no, it was an (note..not "a")
MGA, there was no glimmer of recognition; they laughed and asked if it was
a kiddie car, before thunking off down the road.
Not long after, MILES outside of any town, we espied a rather forlorn pink
and black little truck with the three clowns that had been inside now
standing in the rain looking at the lower control arm that had taken early
retirement.
Poetic justice....
