MGG =AD what noise do kids say to horse?
MGD was discounted cos it didn't sound right - D for dud and all =
that. F suggests Fast and Fun!
There's an MGTF on its way - a highpowered F with a turbo or =
supercharged engine. Price is said to be =A335,000 (ouch) but =
performance should be something else. Look out for an announcement at =
the Geneva motor show.
There's also expected to be a Tiptronic-style gearbox option =
announced at the same time =AD can't see why, us English don't like =
automatics, but it could be for the Japanese market.
The next all new MG is codenamed R60 and should appear in 2004. =
Expect it to use the floorpan of Rover R55 - the 400 replacement. =
This could suggest a front engine setup. Not sure about MGH, MGi =
would sound like an 80s hot hatch, MGJ is too much like MGG, how =
about MGK? that sounds OK
It has been suggested that the floorpan of the new Mini could be used =
for a new MG Midget. Personally, I can't see this happening, a =
sporting Mini derivative would use the Cooper name, but who knows?
