I used to live in England before American beers were widely available
there. I lived on a U.S. Air Force base with a small Officer's Club that
stocked American beers. The locals used to come to the Club to drink the
Budweiser to get drunk. Bud had more alcohol per ounce and less "bulk"
than the English beers. If you have ever attempted to get drunk on your
typical English beer, you know that you have to take at least two runs to
the toilet on every pint. You can drink several American beers and never
leave your seat.
However, all things considered, I'd rather run to the toilet more often
than drink Bud.
